Welcome to Kids Ministry where we want learning about God to be fun and exciting!

We welcome children, grades 1-5, to join us where they will:

LIFEgroups

Kids LIFEgroups meet in person at 9 AM and 10:30 AM on Sundays in the First Norfolk Kids area near the North entrance. Kids participate in a large group time then break out into age-graded small groups.

It is our desire to share God’s love with every child to a point where they will choose to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

DETAILS FOR KIDS

All kids grades 1-5 meet together in the First Norfolk Kids area near the North Entrance.
Parents drop off children at the glass exterior door or the entrance just inside the lobby
After dropping off children, adults exit to the lobby through the exit on the far side of the room.

For Grades 1-5

A special 4 week class for all children who have made a personal decision to follow Jesus, are interested in baptism, or just have questions.

Winter: Jan 11, 18, 25 and February 1

Early Spring: March 8, 15, 22, 29

Summer: July 5, 12, 19, 26

Early Fall: September 13, 20, 27 and October 4

Late Fall: October 25, November 1, 8, 15

Vacation Bible School
June 22 - 26, 2026

Completed Kindergarten through 5th grade

Join us for Illumination Station - the brightest week of the year! While many people claim to know about Jesus, many are in the dark about who He really is. During VBS kids will explore all the ways light brightens, illuminates, reflects, and reveals while discovering that Jesus is the light who brings hope to a dark world!

KIDS CAMP

Camp Willow Run

August 3-7, 2026

First Norfolk Kids Camp will be held August 3-7 and is for ALL kids who have completed third through sixth grade! There are so many fun things to do at Kids Camp! We sleep in real boxcars, spend our days canoeing and swimming in Lake Gaston, enjoy s’mores by the campfire, OMC at the gym, crafts and learning about Jesus!

The Harbor

Meets the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month | 10:00-11:30 AM | Kids Ministry Area

The Harbor is a mentoring ministry for moms. This incredible opportunity is for moms of all ages and in all stages at First Norfolk and in our community. We know that parenting well does not happen without intentionality and investment. Childcare & activities for birth-5th grade with advance registration.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Good News Club is an exciting ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship, which meets weekly at Lake Taylor School.
